​GUARDIAN ANGELS

In 2002, as an extension of The Cove’s mission, Glenn Schmekel designed a program called Faith in Action Guardian Angels.  The Guardian Angel Program matches volunteers to those people in the Methow Valley community who want to remain in their home, but are at risk of becoming socially or physically isolated. The Guardian Angel volunteer provides, foremost, to his or her client a caring relationship.  Depending on the client's needs, relationships may include light housekeeping, transportation to medical appointments and/or shopping.

The mission of the Methow Guardian Angel program is to improve the care and support of the elderly and persons with chronic illnesses or disabilities in our community, through personal contact by a special friend, a Guardian Angel.
